Bedtime Story Nights

Bedtime Story Nights

‘Bedtime Story Nights' have been running at 40 Winks since June 2009. They are deliciously decadent and glamorous, taking the idea of a pyjama party but infusing it with amazing stories, music and cocktails. They have had recommendations and rave reviews in The Evening Standard, The Independent, The Telegraph, The Observer, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Stylist, Tatler, Marie Claire, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Le Cool, Daily Candy and too many other publications to mention without sounding immodest.... although we could also tell you that they have been included in the Saturday Times list of the '60 Best Things To Do In Britain', have had several Critics Choice awards in Time Out and even popped up in a Sunday Times Travel Magazine hot list of the 14 most amazing things to do in the world!!

Our story nights are a totally unique experience in London, bursting with genuine charm, warmth and humour. We work with a fantastic team of professional storytellers, actors and musicians, handpicked for their virtuosity by Mr Carter. They are a much loved institution and will have you squealing with delight for months to come.

All our shows in 2017 sold out in record time (often within a few hours of release), so if you are interested in attending one of our famous Bedtime Story Nights, please email us to join the mailing list and to check on availability. The dates we have just released for early 2018 are  'STORIES TO MAKE YOU WANT TO DANCE LIKE A DIVA' (SOLD OUT) on the 24th of January and 'TALES OF LOVE, PASSION AND LUST' (SOLD OUT) for Valentines on the 12th February and 13th February. We are just adding the 19th of April when we be welcoming back the wonderful Cat Weatherill for a night of Gothic thrills and obsessive love. Her show 'BLUEBEARD (SOLD OUT)' is 'dark, funny, powerful, erotic, exceptional and emotionally devastating' according to Parnassus Magazine. We have just confirmed a new show for the 17th of May called VIVALICIOUS with the fabulous Viv Groskop. Viv is a journalist, writer, occasional agony aunt and comedian. She is the star of BBC1’s This Week and BBC Radio 4’s It’s Just a Joke, Comrade. VIVALICIOUS is a brand new show that will be officially launched at the Edinburgh Festival, but we are very lucky to have lured her here for a special preview date. In an age of therapy and reinvention, Viv humorously explores how we all want to become the very best versions of ourselves, and frequently fail despite our most determined efforts. Expect enlightenment and lots and lots of laughter. ‘Fresh and original’ (Sara Pascoe), ‘Viv is brilliant (Jo Brand), ‘Completely compelling’ (Chortle). Tickets are available from today!
